Kaya Vidya: Transforming Oneself through Sadhana

Duration: Three Months online (50 hours) followed by 200 hours onsite teacher’s training at Sannidhi Yoga, Pondicherry.

Course Level: Foundational to Intermediate.
Prerequisites: Healthy individuals with deep interest in practical Yoga Sadhana.
COURSE OVERVIEW:
Kaya Vidya: the Science of the Body; is not merely about physical movement. It is a sacred exploration into the embodied intelligence that bridges matter and consciousness. This course offers a deep, experiential immersion into the Ashtanga Yoga of Maharishi Patanjali, unfolding the eight limbs not as linear steps but as interwoven dimensions of self-transformation.
Through the principle of Sadhana – endurance, equipoise, and inner expansion, participants will be guided to rediscover their body as a living field of awareness, where body (kaya), breath (prana), mind (manas), and spirit (atman) align into a harmonious oneness.
COURSE DURATION:
3 months, with integrative cycles of practice, reflection, embodiment. Yoga Asana, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, and Satsanga will form the foundational pillars of this transformative journey. Additional weekly practice sessions will also be offered with our team to enhance a deep and embodied learning process.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the eight limbs of Yoga (Ashtanga Yoga) as an integrated psycho-physical system of self-transformation.
- Cultivate embodied awareness through harmonized use of body, breath, and psychic intelligence.
- Develop the capacity for a personal Sadhana as the foundation for inner evolution.
- Experience Yoga not as posture, but as a living process of psycho-spiritual awakening.
- Integrate Yogic principles into daily life for holistic well-being, clarity, and inner freedom.
PEDAGOGY:
The course follows a practice-based, experiential pedagogy, combining:
- Guided Asana sessions rooted in traditional Hatha and Raja Yoga frameworks.
- Pranayama and Kriya practices for awakening and balancing subtle energies.
- Dharana and Dhyana (concentration and meditation) for cultivating stillness and insight.
- Group Sadhana and Satsanga for collective energy and reflection.
- Sankalpa and Svadhyaya (personal intention and self-study) as ongoing self-inquiry tools.
- Integration modules where participants connect Yogic experiences to contemporary wellness and personal transformation.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Learners completing the course will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in integrated Yogic practices.
- Apply principles of Sadhana in managing physical, emotional, and mental challenges.
- Develop a refined awareness of our psychic energy and its role in health and consciousness.
- Experience moments of inner silence, balance, and expanded awareness.
- Articulate the philosophical and experiential essence of each limb in personal and teaching contexts.

Participants will receive:
- Comprehensive digital manuals for each module.
- Guided audio-visual practices for home sadhana.
- Selected reading materials.
SELF-ASSESSMENT & EVALUATION:
- Reflective Journal; recording personal transformation through practice.
- Peer Sharing & Discussion Circles developing clarity through dialogue.
- Guided self-assessment tools on awareness, endurance, and inner harmony.
- Final Integration Project: A personal synthesis presentation or experiential demonstration of one’s yogic journey.
CERTIFICATION:
Participants who complete all four chapters with reflective submissions and participation will receive a Certificate of Completion from SANNIDHI – Sacred Seeds of Yoga and ICYER Ananda Ashram; that will bear appropriate recognitions from Indian Yoga Association and Yoga Certification Board.

Option A:
Participation in the 6 weeks program (12 hours of online learning):
All participants will receive their participation certificates upon completion of the requirements. This training will be eligible for YACEP credits of 12 hours for participants as per norms of Yoga Alliance, USA. This certification will also have accreditation by Sannidhi Yoga, Gitananda Yoga and be recognised by ICYER Ananda Ashram, that is a Founding Member Institution of the Indian Yoga Association.
Option B:
Completion of the course as TTC with 30 hours of online learning:
Those wishing to obtain Sannidhi Yoga Abhyasa™ Teacher Training Certification will have to pay an additional evaluation and certification fee. They will be required to submit five lesson plans, five student feedback summaries and attend an online viva examination with Sannidhi Mentors. This training will be eligible for YACEP credits of 30 hours for those taking up this option as per norms of Yoga Alliance, USA. This certification will also have accreditation by Sannidhi Yoga, Gitananda Yoga and be recognised by ICYER Ananda Ashram, that is a Founding Member Institution of the Indian Yoga Association.
